Today is National Pet Remembrance Day, and our hearts feel heavier than usual as we pause to honor the souls who have passed through our arms and into our hearts here at Whispering Willows. In 2025 alone, we’ve had to say goodbye to 55 seniors…fifty-five beloved faces who each left their pawprints etched so deeply into us that life here feels quieter, softer, and not quite the same without them. Each of them had their own quirks, the way Roger would shuffle toward us with determined little steps

We couldn’t resist sharing another peek at our seniors enjoying the frozen yogurt treats Katie made. It didn’t take long for the word to spread, soon, fifty-six seniors had gathered up, tails swaying, eyes shining, waiting their turn. We’re often asked, “Why don’t you adopt your seniors out?” 🤍 The truth is, our residents have already known too much loss and uncertainty. Many have said goodbye to the only family they ever had or been left behind when they needed someone most. Uprooting them again would only bring more confusion and heartbreak.
