Getting into reading philosophy can be difficult for a significant number of reasons, but it really does not have to be. Some will say “you have to start with the Greeks and read chronologically…” No. You do not have to do that. Unless you plan on majoring in philosophy and studying it seriously you can read whatever you want. If an author references another philosopher there is almost always a footnote to help you understand the reference. You can read whatever you want as long as it is within
