People will have an off day or miscalculate the load and then think the set was ineffective because “1-4 reps is for strength” and they didn’t get at least 5. No, you literally just performed 1 less stimulative rep compared to a set of 5. All 4 of the reps you did still “counted” for growth, and you don’t need to add in an extra set to make up for it.
